The St. James-Smithtown Little League Parade and Festival returns this Saturday, April 9.

Below are details for players, coaches, and parents:

Call Time/Info:

Players, managers, and coaches will report to the staging area -- which will be located behind Nesconset Elementary -- no later than 10:00 AM.

Players should be dressed in full uniform.

Coaches can pick which color jersey their team wears (red or blue), but please make sure your entire team matches. Coaches with games that day: Please make sure your color matches the usual home/away designation.

We will have balloons that will correspond to each division so that players can easily find where their team is gathered. The balloon colors are as follows:

T-ball: Red
6u: Green
7u: White
8u: Yellow
Minors: Black
Majors: Blue
All softball ages: Pink

Parade and Festival:

Marching will begin at 11:00 AM.

Parade route will start at Nesconset Elementary, continue north toward Browns Rd, right on Browns, and will finish at the park.

Opening Day ceremonies will be held, after which families are invited to stay for a day of entertainment (bounce houses, face painters, food vendors, etc.)

Opening Day games will include two Major League and two Minor League contests.  They will be located on Browns Road Fields 7 and 8. Start times are 1:00 PM and 3:30 PM.

Banners:

Each team (all age groups) is encouraged to make a banner for the Opening Day Parade.

Traditionally, teams have made these banners as a group, and then carried them as they marched in the parade. After COVID forced us to go two years without it, the return of this event is a huge milestone for both the league and our community. Let's make sure we celebrate it in a big way.

Make up a team name for your squad, get the kids involved, be creative with it, and have fun!

Parking Information:

We have access to parking at Nesconset Elementary. Parking is also available on Browns Road itself, but only on the park side of the road.
 
Do not park at the Nesconset Fire Department.

This is extremely important, in case of any unforeseen circumstances arise at the fire house. Please tell all of your friends and family not to park at Nesconset FD.
