Happy April, SJSLL families!

On Saturday, April 5, we will officially open our 2025 spring baseball and softball season.

Here are all the details of the day:

8:30 AM - Players are asked to arrive at the old Capital One parking lot on the corners of Woodlawn and Lake Avenues in St. James. This is where they will meet up with their team. Players should wear full uniform (jersey, cap, pants, socks) to the parade. Coaches will choose which uniform color you wear (the entire team should match, and -- for teams that play that day -- they should wear the uniform that matches their home/road designation for the game: home team wear blue, away team wears red). Players should arrive to the staging area no later than 8:45 AM.

9:00 AM - Parade begins. Teams will march with their coaches down Woodlawn Avenue to Gaynor Park and enter the turf field through the entrance by the first base dugout. Please, no parents on the field during opening ceremonies.

10:00 AM - Opening ceremonies begin. Town Supervisor Ed Wehrheim, Town Councilman Tom Lohmann, and Town Parks Maintenance Director Joe Arico will all be on hand to help us ring in our 69th season of play.

11:15 AM - Scheduled games begin at Gaynor. There will also be another slate of games beginning at 11:30 AM at Veterans Memorial Park, and a slate of games beginning at 1:30 PM at both Gaynor and Vets.

In addition to the exciting league action, we will also have an amazing family festival atmosphere, with bounce houses, face painting, balloon artists, and some amazing food options available from our sponsors.
